We simply covered ours with plastic bags weighted down with rocks. So far the product seems to be working the weeds are starting to show sign of discoloring,need more time to see final results. MSM will eliminate all weeds but use it carefully to avoid killing the grass. I know that there is nothing in the herbicide world that can kill all the weeds I have, but I wish there was.

0.33 TO 0.5 OZ PRODUCT/ACRE, and you will want to use 50 to 100 gallons per acre. Buddy, I don't know about most of that but the guy that told me to start using MSM said to add 2,4-D to it. Said it would help get that MSM in the weeds better, so I did without any issues. Applications should be performed on a day/time when winds is less than 10 mph as overspray can produce highly undesirable results. Makes visitors feel relaxed and have a nice time.
It took about three to four weeks to completely die off and I didn't need a second application. I'm very happy with the results of this product. It didn't harm any of the grass species in my yard, just the weeds. I applied the prescription rate on my St Augustine grass yard in Jacksonville, Florida to control the dollar weed, and it did not appear to kill any of the weed after three weeks.
The way I got around it was to wait until fall when the turf is starting its dormancy. Also, I spot treated instead of covering the whole lawn, which helps. If you are using a backpack sprayer or smaller handheld keep agitating to keep the product in suspension. I used 0.02 of the product mixed with 4 gallons of water.

I also had some type of broadleaf very invasive weed that quickly spread. This took care of that as well and no turf damage. Domyown.com had an excellent price and fast shipping. It takes about one week for you to notice it is working, but by 2 weeks the dollar weed is yellow and dying.

The literature I've read indicates that an initial application should be done when the plant is actively growing, but before the plant begins to produce seeds . And not in heavy draught conditions or if rain is forecast for the next hours. In west-central Texas that was any time after the first weed in May.
